“Three years ago, I began shopping for a major upgrade for my Trenton, NJ home. I wanted to get central air installed. Because my house is nearly 100 years old and had no vents, it was a big job. I shopped around quite a bit, but finally settled on Princeton Fuel. They offered me the best price and I liked the fact that the salesperson, Bill Steele, was totally knowledgeable, being someone who’d actually done the work himself, rather than just someone who sold the equipment. There were issues to be discussed and considered, with pros and cons (where to PUT the air handler – attic or basement), as well as problems related to the structure of my very old house. For example, they were not able to put vents in my kitchen or the bathroom, but all of this was brought to my attention prior to me signing a contract with them. The job was done on schedule, they were in and out of my house in a short amount of time, given the size of the job, and Bill Steele stopped in to check on its progress. He was also readily available to me for follow-up issues (nothing WRONG on their end – just paperwork I had lost, that I’d needed to get my rebates, etc.). And, although I’d set out only with the intention of having central air installed in my house, I was able to “couple” it with a new gas furnace for very little additional money. Since my oil burner is quite old, I went for it. I have been quite happy with this experience. Another great thing about Bill Steele is that he was very, very patient – willing to take as much time as needed to explain whatever I needed to know. There was no sales pressure whatsoever.” – Sue S.
